Wildlife Area

On Saturday 9th October 2010, parents, teachers and governors all met up to continue the transformation of the wildlife area into an interesting and exciting space for the children to learn.

We cleared the paths and pond as well as undertaking the difficult task of pulling out the brambles.

Bulbs were planted and we are now looking forward to a colourful array of flowers during the spring time.

The entrance to the wildlife area is now framed by two eye catching raised beds.

To encourage more wild visitors to the area, can you spot the new habitats we introduced?

We are hoping to see birds, butterflies, frogs and ladybirds as a result.

By tying rope around the trees we created a trail for the children to follow whilst blindfolded. Though guiding one another this sensory experience will provide them with the opportunity to gain valuable team building skills.

Thank you once again to everyone who came along to help.
