Super Sandwiches!

Last week Year 2 were busy writing detailed sets of instructions. One of our tasks was to design a sandwich for a famous person. We tried to be healthy and creative. Some children mixed some very interesting flavours together, such as strawberry and cheese!! As we were cutting the sanwiches we thought about whether we were cutting into halves or quarters.

Once Upon A Time

This half term we have been learning about traditional tales in Early Years.  We have explored the stories The Gingerbread Man, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, The Elves and the Shoemaker and Hansel and Gretel.  We have had lots of fun learning about these stories, playing in exciting activities based on these stories and acting the stories out.

In literacy we wrote a letter from Goldilocks to the three bears saying how sorry she was for breaking baby bears' chair and eating their porridge.
In numeracy we have learnt about money and having the correct change to buy shoes at our shoe shop.
We have made and decorated gingerbread men, tasted porridge and designed our own shoe.

On Friday we have our traditional fairytale ball.  We are very excited!  What will you be dressing up as?
