Healthy Living afternoon








Year 1 children and their parents learned all about

keeping healthy when visitors came to our school

last Thursday afternoon.








We tasted a rainbow of coloured fruit and vegetables including strawberries,

peppers, mango, peas and grapes as part of our five a day. Shannon from Oak

class tried all of these and thought they were "yummy".





We had fun being active outside playing netball,

hopscotch and hula hooping in the afternoon

sunshine.








We made mobiles and frisbees showing the five food groups and what can

be eaten as part of a balanced diet.






In our classes we wrote about the different

things we can do to stay healthy. In our book

we included pages about drinking water, having

a balanced diet, being active and getting plenty

of sleep.
